How does it work?
Basically, toenail fungus laser treatment uses a focused beam of light (a laser) to destroy fungus that has infected a toenail. When you chose to undergo laser treatment for toenail fungus, your podiatrist will aim the laser into the fungus-infected toenail. The laser will painlessly penetrate the toenail and subsequently vaporize the fungus embedded in the nail bed, leaving your toenail and skin surrounding the toe unharmed.
The laser is set to a specific frequency to destroy cells that trigger the fungal infection. In a short period of time the laser is able to eradicate it completely from your toe and toenails. You will see new growth beginning to form in your nail after two or three months.
